What a great weekend it was in the Middle Keys with the Kick-Off of Conchtoberfest Nights. Saturday, September 24th was a beautiful Florida Keys evening - the perfect night for an outdoor celebration at Sunset Grille by the Seven Mile Bridge. The Vegas, Baby! event was big fun, with black jack, roulette, and more Vegas-style games to play for prizes. A portion of the proceeds raised during this event are being donated to KAIR.
On Sunday, September 25th the fun continued with a traditional Oktoberfest party at Castaway restaurant. Revelers indulged in delicious German foods from sausage to schnitzel, plus the amazing array of 32 beers on tap. The most popular option appeared to be the "Oktoberfest Beer Sampler" giving a taste of 5 different Octoberfest beers (including one called Conchtoberfest). A portion of the proceeds raised are being donated to Habitat for Humanity.
