We're having our normal winter time weather here in the Florida Keys. The occasional cold front makes it's way down here, bringing some wind and cooler water temps. The windy days have keep us from running out into the open bay, but we've been able to find some good Snapper, Grouper, Jacks and a few Cudas in some spots that are a little closer and more protected. On the calmer days we've been able to get out to some of our normal spots for this time of year and we've been catching Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, Bluefish, Trout, Ladyfish as well as the Snapper and Grouper.

Recently the Bonefish flats have been a little chillier than we like to see them, so we haven't spent anytime looking for the Bonefish or the Permit. We are not to far away from the time where the cold fronts will no longer make it all the way down to the Keys, and the Bonefish and Permit will be back on our preferred targets list.
