The lively Florida Keys coral reef yields a bounty of delicious tasting snapper and grouper species, as well as hard-fighting game fish such as sailfish and kingfish.

THE EDGE...

October through April is prime sailfish time in the Florida Keys, and Tailwalker Charters specializes in providing you with a dinner and a show. We’ll take you out to the reef to fish for yellowtail snapper and grouper (Dinner), and then venture out into the blue water to treat you to the fantastic tail-walking acrobatics of the Atlantic sailfish (Show).

THE STREAM...

April through August is dolphin (Mahi-Mahi if you speak Hawaiian) season in the Florida Keys. One of the tricks to catching these delicious tasting and beautifully colored fish is to find weed lines, feeding birds and floating debris. The Tailwalker I & II are ideal for targeting dolphin because they are equipped with tuna towers to help the captains locate fish better. This gives our captains a tremendous advantage over those fishing in center console boats where the captain’s vision does not extend as far.

THE HUMP...

The renowned Marathon Hump (an underwater mound offshore of Duck Key) provides fishermen an opportunity to catch tasty blackfin tuna throughout the year. Whether live baiting or deep water jigging, these fish provide an excellent fight and unmatched table fare.
